Refuting Islam

By William Braswell - In Islamic tradition, the revelation of the Quran to Muhammad is understood to be from God ( Allah ) through the angel Gabriel ( Jibril ).  According to the Islamic narrative, Muhammad received his first revelation in the cave of Hira near Mecca when he was around 40 years old. The Quran describes this event as a moment of divine encounter, where an angel  appeared to Muhammad and commanded him to recite. This event is recorded in Surah Al-Alaq   Chapter 96 of the Quran.  Islam affirms the belief in one God, known as Allah in Arabic. Muslims believe that Allah is the creator, sustainer, and ruler of the universe, and that there is no god but Allah.  Muslims believe that Allah has sent prophets and messengers throughout history to guide humanity and convey His message.
